Freedom Is Popular: Ron Paul for President
February 1st, 2008
I am officially throwing my support behind Ron Paul for President. I’ve been leaning Paul from the beginning, but was leery of the supposed "crazies" that the media claims are his followers. Since I’m not one to believe anything the media tells me, I decided to do some research on my own and find out exactly how "crazy" these people really were.
What I’ve found is that the media and republican party reptiles are afraid of Ron Paul supporters because of their passion to be free, and paint them as outrageous because the Paulites go against the status quo. They have energy that hasn’t been seen in the American political landscape in at least my lifetime, and this scares both the media and the republican party. Anything that isn’t "the norm" is quickly dismissed as fringe and wild, and therefore scary.
I’ve talked to countless people over the past few weeks who are anything but "scary", who support Ron Paul. These are average, everyday people of every possible background, who - more often than not - have never found themselves interested in politics before. These are people who have taken note of government intruding in their personal lives, their private property, their livelihood, and their daily family activities, all-the-while failing at the basic functions of government (that being protecting the liberties that so many men have died to ensure for us). They see Ron Paul as the only candidate who would fight for their freedom, and who would put government back in it’s place as a necessary evil rather than a savior for the whole of America.
Freedom is popular, no matter what the polls might say. Freedom is something that gets people moving, gets them motivated, and makes them passionate. Every human has an inherent desire to be free, and when a leader speaks freedom, people listen and respond.
Paul may not have a snowball’s chance in this election, but he’s the only candidate I could vote for and still live with myself in the morning. I cannot - and will not - vote the status quo. My vote is for freedom, so my vote is for Ron Paul.

Yep, I think we’ve jumped into the right camp, Joey.
Oh, and if you need to argue any points if a-holes challenge you, I’ve already had to do it and did the research into it already.. So feel free to use it if you need it…
