The Great Global Warming Swindle
January 19th, 2008
An absolute must-watch for anyone and everyone. I’ve seen it three times, and I would encourage anyone who has already seen it, to watch it again.
With the steady stream "green messages" coming at us from every which-way, our brains need to remember how to reason, and to ask questions rather than simply accept the fact that just because something is being pounded into our brains, we need to believe it. In fact, I would say that the more something is forced upon us, the more we should question it. If it were true, there wouldn’t be a need for the inundation. The truth is a million times more powerful than any piece of propaganda, and the only way to find it is to ask the questions and seek the answers.

Climate obviously has changed and will continue to change. The observation that ice is melting does not show that human activity is the cause. The assertion that humans are or ever can have a significant influence on climate by limiting the use of fossil fuel (a.k.a. limiting human production of carbon dioxide) is not supported by any historical record. The only implication that carbon dioxide level has a significant effect on climate comes from huge but still incomplete computer programs that attempt to predict future climate.
Avoid the group-think and de facto censorship by Climate Scientists. Directly interrogate official government data that taxpayers have paid for from ORNL and NOAA as follows:
If the carbon dioxide level from Lawdome, Antarctica http://cdiac.ornl.gov/ftp/trends/co2/lawdome.combined.dat is graphed on the same time scale as fossil fuel usage from http://cdiac.ornl.gov/trends/emis/tre_glob.htm it is discovered that the current carbon dioxide level increase started about 1750, a century before any significant fossil fuel use.
If average earth temperature since 1880 from http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/research/anomalies/anomalies.html is graphed on the same time scale as fossil fuel use it is discovered that there is no correlation between rising fossil fuel use and average global temperature at least until 1976.
The asserted hypothesis that, since 1976, increasing carbon dioxide level has caused the temperature to rise is refuted by the carbon dioxide level from http://cdiac.ornl.gov/trends/co2/vostok.html and earth temperature from http://cdiac.ornl.gov/ftp/trends/temp/vostok/vostok.1999.temp.dat determined from the Vostok, Antarctica ice cores. If these are graphed on a higher resolution time scale it is discovered that the change in atmospheric carbon dioxide level lags earth temperature change by hundreds of years.
If Lawdome and recent carbon dioxide data and Vostok and recent temperature are plotted on the same graph since 1000 AD (or before) it is observed that temperature oscillates up to plus or minus 1.5 degrees Celsius (half pitch about 100 yr) while carbon dioxide level remains essentially unchanged (between 9000BC and 1750AD). This will also show that the average global temperature 200 years ago was about the same as now, 400 years ago was significantly higher than now and current rate of temperature change is fairly typical. Recent measurements show that average earth temperatures in 2006 and 2007 were actually lower than in 1998.
As shown at http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/Reference_Docs/Geocarb_III-Berner.pdf , for most of the history of earth carbon dioxide level has been several times higher than the present.
The conclusion from all this is that carbon dioxide change does not cause significant climate change. Actions based on the human-caused global warming mistake put freedom and prosperity at risk.

HOLD YOUR BREATH! Don’t you know your breathing causes ‘global warming’? Sheesh! Shame on you!

The global warming swindle is hilarious, sorry my spelling may be terrible but bare with me. Half the data from scientists, graphs and comments are totally incorrect and mis represented. The solar variation b.s. is wrong. It has been proven that is a poor theory or hypothesis and that it does not correlate at with temperture change. The cosmic constant has lessened in the past 20 yrs but the temp continues to rise. Second is the fact that volcanoes produce more CO2, well that is wrong. The data is wrong. Humans produce 100 times the C02 in a year compared to volcanic erruptions spewing c02 in a given year.
The conclusion is that the GLobal warming swindle is exactly what selfish human being who do not give a damn about future generations want to hear. DO NOT get me wrong skeptitism should reign, but falsifying data should be condemned.
Yes the climate does shift, but humans are going to shift it much to quick, and we need to think about the future. EVEN if global warming and climate change was wrong and say that human beings did all we could do to stop it. Like use new energy such as renewable sources and such. Or maybe we tried to curb the amount of our rainforests from being terminated. Then hundreds of years later they would say well they were wrong back then those early un informed humans but at least they ERRORED in THE SIDE OF Caution. They made the right choice and decided to curb consumption. WELL HATS OFF to those stubborn lads because they carried about people they will never meet who will never know their names but they did the right thing, and decided to error in the side of caution

Remember the people who are learning and asking questions are doing the right thing, that is why i read about the global warming swindle, i am a skeptic too. But look at both sides and you will see that the global warming swindle is what you wanna hear. Read about the other side at wikipedia and just type in global warming swindle.
ITs like that movie “bleep do you know” I loved it, then i questioned it and found out that the seemingly intelligent proposition that theoretical physicts had made during the filming were twisted around and the whole movie was a fake.

It’s been years since I had a science class and I think I got a C in it. I’m glad we have others with a couple more science classes under their belt debunking this global warming myth stuff. If it wasn’t for the coal industry and Exxon funding these debunkers, we’d have to believe those government-finded scientists working in the communist dominated public universities.

Speaking of the whole living green and global warming lies, I saw on the news today about another alleged ELF (Earth Liberation Front) attack in Washington State. They burned several expensive “Green” homes. Apparently ELF feels the homes were not so “green” after all.
You know, I’m sure glad these people decided to help out Mother Earth by filling her air with tons of black smoke. (not Green smoke)
Also, thank God that Greenpeace is there to help protect the Earth by burning gallons and gallons of diesel fuel on there giant ship.
I mean, why doesn’t PETA beat up zoo keepers with a frozen monkey.
Mother Earth, God, (enter your deity here) tends to balance the Earth out pretty well. Let them do their job, her job, his job…etc. Gotta be PC ya know.
Later,
Murder is Fur!!!

Could you provide me with a link to info on the PETA monkey spanking of the zookeeper. I got to read more on this. Unbelievable.

Just because people have to use CO2 producing methods of transportation does not make them a total hypocrite they are only trying to spread the word. Plus according to you people CO2 is not the cause of global warming so why do you care. It is in the fact the solar variations that are producing the global warming. According to Global warming swindle WHICH HAS BEEN PROVEN INCORRECT.

You can have my out-of-tune ‘77 3/4-ton 4X4 Suburban when you can pry it from my warm-to-the-touch, dead hands. I need it so I’m SAFE in a crash! I’m letting it idle in the driveway to melt the snow, and I hate these damn bedwetting liberals who try to tell me I’m wasting gas! I’m supporting the economy! That tax return is going directly to my Exxon card. Global Warming schwarming. I’m not an arrogant, wasteful idiot…I’m a skeptic.
Oh. lighten up.

Steve:
You seem to have a problem with expressing your opions. Doug is just explaining his world view. Obviously you have a view that is slightly different that Doug’s. What does getting mad and typing in CAPS do to solve the issue.
Doug mentions Exxon and this ties in very well to the debate on global warming. Check out this link and see how those record profits for Exxon are being used to influence the global warming debate:
http://atbl1.blogspot.com/2008/03/why-exxon-didnt-sponsor-international.html
I’m always interested in understanding where people are coming from and how much credibility their background provides them in a very large and complicated discussion like climate change. What’s your science background Steve? Doug? Other than a variety of outside reading, I had a physics and an astronomy class in college in the late 1970s — I got A’s in both. I had a variety of high school science classes in the early 1970s — a couple were electives.

Hey jpn, I went to penn state for a year and was a major in meteorology. I am now a geology major at CU boulder. I have not taken very many classes in climatology, so actually i do not have any credentials that would offer me superior knowledge in the subject of global warming. As for steve I agree americans are very fat. Haha but this global warming swindle movie has very poor data to back it up do some research and tell me what you think. peace
