Contributions? What Contributions?
November 25th, 2007 - Written by Joey
How many times have you had to deal with your liberal friends or co-workers talk about the “special interests” and “big, greedy corporations” who contribute to the Republican party, which in turn write policies so “their buddies” can become more wealthy? Chances are, it’s been more than you can stomach.
Well, here’s some proof for you to throw back at them.
Below is the list of the top political donors (AKA “Lobbyists”) since 1989. Notice how nine (possibly ten) of the top fourteen are unions, and donated solely to the Democrat party. Yet we’re supposed to fear “big, bad corporations”.
Also, I’m sure you noticed that AFSCME (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees) is at the top of the list, and the NEA (teachers union) is number four.
Isn’t it good to know that government is focusing all that energy (money) on growing itself?
